Summer Fondly Feburary

Remembering a summer thought with fondness, in the middle of a very cold Feburary... :)

One in particular...
...the rough
whitewashed
aged
squeaky screen door
opening and slamming behind you
upon entering a small county store beside the road,
among the cornfields of Chino and Ontario, CA. on the hottest of summer days...
Seemingly standing as tall as,
and peering over and into the red coca cola cooler,
(my hot hand growing cool while touching the glass),
deciding which bottle of pop I would get if Momma said the wonderful word, "Yes".

In our memory tonight there is the chirping crickets, the hum of a fan, open windows, honeysuckle growing on the wire fence just outside my bedroom window...

But... take note, putting an extra blanket at the foot of the bed just in case. :)


No matter where we are or what the weather may be, we know that in His presence is fullness of joy and the warmth of His love is enough to comfort, to keep, to yes bring an encouragement to our hungry hearts.

January Blessings

The most important thing to be remembered for is the message of Christ at work in your life. In the work of Him who has called us out of darkness, there is the greatest love. That love, holds us, our families, our churches, our communities together, brings healing and wholeness again and again.

Praising Him who has truly brought peace, joy and love to a world without hope. My greatest hope is that if you do not know this deep abiding truth, you will come to know the One who loves you desperately. Simply ask Him into your heart today and you will never be alone again. He is the God who is there. (There is no pit so deep that He is not there.) May you know, praise and pray the song of the redeemed today.
